06 February 2012

With racing off yesterday it's great that Ayr goes ahead. Neptune Equester is hoping to put his Warwick run behind him and bounce back with a win and in the bumper, Grand Shift makes his debut.

04 February 2012

We hope the snow and frost keeps away from Musselburgh tomorrow. Simonside, Dizzy River, Stormy Weather and Dontpaytheferryman are all heading up.. Weather permitting! Stormy Weather could be an omen! Ferryman is in the same race and going for a hat trick at the track..either could win! Simonside and Dizzy River are also both in the same race.. Both well and it will also be hard to split them.

01 February 2012

With no wins at Southwell yesterday, January ended with a total of 7 winners, 1 up on Jan last year. Overrule added to the tally of 2nds but Soopacal was dissapointing. Today, Hada Men has his first start for us over hurdles having won 3/3 for us on the flat.

31 January 2012

It has been a good start to the year and we are hoping to add to the winners at Southwell today with Overrule and Soopacal. Fingers crossed!

29 January 2012

Bocciani has turned out to be a great buy for his owner John MacGregor having being in the first 3 home 10 out of 11 starts for us. He ran a cracker again at Doncaster finishing 2nd and now goes to Cheltenham. Greyfriarschorista was very unlucky at Lingfield having suffered from a knock sideways. He finished the race well but too late. No runners now until Tuesday.

28 January 2012

Last night, Three White Socks was a bit disappointing but it was his first run back and the jockey said he badly needed it and didn't like the track. Today we have Bocciani at Doncaster and Greyfriarschorista at Lingfield. Both horses are in good form and we are hopeful for big runs.

27 January 2012

We are very proud that Jessica Bell has made it through to the last 10 of the Godolphin Stable Staff Awards in the High Achiever category. We wish her the best of luck. She deserves to win! more...

27 January 2012

Mahfal proved that he did need a step up in trip but looked as if he could also need something on his head to help him focus. He was out battled on the run in and was beaten a neck. Today.. Three White Socks makes a return to the track after being off with an injury for 239 days.

26 January 2012

Dontpaytheferryman..wins again! What a star! Sands of Vatersay finished 3rd having jumped like an old pro on her first hurdling start. Today Mahfal runs at Newcastle and its hoped that he step up in trip will improve him.

25 January 2012

Adili, having missed the break badly, failed to make an impression on his debut at Southwell yesterday but he will improve with experience and time. Union Island ran well but probably needed the run. Today Sands of Vatersay has her first start over hurdles and Dontpaytheferryman is aiming to follow up on his recent win..both at Musselburgh.

24 January 2012

Red Inca and Lifetime seemed to enjoy their first experience over hurdles and we were delighted with them both. Red Inca finished 3rd and Lifetime was 4th. 'Andy Bam' was also 3rd. He didn't look to see out the trip in that ground which was pretty soft. Musnad was extremley dissapointing. The race wasn't run to suit him.. the only excuse.

24 January 2012

Runners today.. Adili making his first racecourse appearance and Union Island, back after a break.. both at Southwell. It will be interesting to see how they both get on. I am off to Doncaster Sales.. if anyone interested in buying one .. please ring me on 07785747426.

23 January 2012

Amtired and Powerful Ambition both delighted us with their performances. Both finished 2nd.. and just beaten by better horses on the day. John Forbes was slightly disappointing but the race was competitive and he probably wants to go back up in trip. Today.. Lifetime and Red Inca make their hurdling debuts and join Andreo Bambaleo at Wetherby. At Wolverhampton we have Musnad in what looks a tricky little race.

22 January 2012

Marsh Warbler ran a cracker.. finished 3rd but made a mistake at the last which cost him. Today at Market Rasen.. Amtired is hoping to put the disaster at Wetherby behing him(he ran out at the last)but we are confident he will and has cheek pieces on to help him. We are hopeful that we will see an improvement in Powerful Ambition as he is stepped up in trip and in handicap company for the first time. Our old boy, John Forbes is also back out today.. this time over hurdles.

21 January 2012

Hada Men made it 3/3 for us last night when he won at Wolverhampton under Brian Toomey. Tilo's Gem travelled much better but when they quickened from around the bend he was caught flat footed and just stayed on at the one pace. He will now go jumping. Dilizan will have learned from his first experience at the races. He did not disgrace himself. Today we are hoping that Haydock passes an inspection...If so Marsh Warbler runs and he will love the ground.

20 January 2012

After a quiet week (off the track) we have 3 runners tonight at Wolverhampton. Hada Men is in excellent form and going for a hat trick but we also have Tilo's Gem in the same race, who has improved since his last run and should go close himself. We also have Dilizan making his first racecourse appearence. He is a lovely horse and whatever he does tonight, he will improve upon in time.

16 January 2012

Neptune Equester was very disappointing on Saturday. He didn't jump as well as he normally does and never got into the race at all. We don't think the track suited him and he seemed to sulk in behind. He is a lot better horse than that performance. Simonside ran well enough, he just didn't see the distance out at that particular track. No runners for a few days.

14 January 2012

Yesterday at Musselburgh.. Artisan ran really well and was only beaten a short head. Dontpaytheferryman delighted us by winning the seller but at Huntington Dane Cottage only managed a 5th. Neptune Equester runs today in the BetFred Classic and also at Warwick, Simonside runs in the Pertemps qualifier.

13 January 2012

Upper Lambourn joins the string having been claimed at Southwell yesterday, after his win over Soopocal. Liteup My World having being off the the track for so long was 'rusty' and badly needed his run. Hakuna Matata jumped brilliantly on his first start over hurdles but he struggled to get home and could possibly need a wind operation. Today.. Dontpaytheferryman and Artisan head up to Musselburgh, whilst Dane Cottage goes South to Huntingdon.

12 January 2012

It will be an interesting days racing for us today. Soopacal is having his first start for us, Liteup My World is back on the track after 573 days and Hakuna Matata makes his debut over hurdles.

11 January 2012

It was a 1-2-3 yesterday! The winner was at Southwell, where Hada Men who was a 1-6 fav won as the odds expected him to do. Unfortunately, our other odds on fav, Westlin Winds didn't follow suit and could only manage 2nd...he was later claimed! Mahfal finished 3rd but is crying out for a longer trip.

10 January 2012

Hoping to continue a good start to the year with 3 runners today, all of which should go close. Hada Men runs at Southwell and is a short price favourite after his win last week. Westlin Winds drops in grade at Leicester and Mahfal is in a fairly weak race, also at Leicester.

09 January 2012

Overrule finally won again!

08 January 2012

Newcastle proved to be a successful day! Stormy Weather put up a gutsy performance and won under a great ride by Dougie Costello. Andreo Bambaleo with the assistance of blinkers and Charlie Poste managed to get a clear round and finished 3rd. Today is back on the flat at Southwell with Overrule in the seller.

07 January 2012

Two runners today at Newcastle. Stormy Weather is hoping to go one better than when he was runner-up on his last start, 3 weeks ago. Andreo Bambaleo, who was brought down on his first start for us, then unseated on New Years Day, has blinkers fitted today, which hopefully will help him concentrate.. third time lucky for him!

05 January 2012

Delighted with Dusky Bob's peformance yesterday. He showed his previous enthusiasm and stayed on gamely to finish 2nd. No runners today!

04 January 2012

Dusky Bob got off to a good start for us, having won his first two races. He was disputing the lead when falling at the last at Wetherby and then ran a shocker at Ascot on his last start. We are hoping that was a one off and that he can bounce back today at Huntingdon.

03 January 2012

The runners of the year so far have been slightly disappointing. At Musselburgh on Sunday, Andreo Bambaleo unseated his jockey but both were ok. Marsh Warbler was not given the greatest ride in the world and John Forbes didn't jump as well as he normally does. Optimist ran the best finishing 3rd in the bumper. Yesterday at Southwell, Global Village never travelled and did well to finish 2nd. So we are now hoping it's 3rd day lucky with Hada Man having his first run for us today.

03 January 2012

Hada Men gets us off the Mark in 2012!

01 January 2012

Happy New Year! We are hoping for a good start to 2012 with 4 runners at Musselburgh.

30 December 2011

Haydock is on .. but Powerful Ambition is a non-runner (bruised foot)

30 December 2011

Our last two runners of 2011, Powerful Ambition and Bocciani are subject to an 8am inspection at Haydock.

30 December 2011

Bocciani wins at Haydock.. making the grand total 85 for the year.

29 December 2011

Delighted to announce that Danny Cook is now out of hospital following surgery on his knee. Sadly, he will be out of action for a few months but is determined to waste no time in being back and already counting the days.

29 December 2011

We were pleased with the two runners yesterday.. Mahfal had been outpaced and driven along but stayed on strongly to finish 6th. Royal Opera was 2nd.. no excuses just beaten by a good horse. No runners today...

28 December 2011

Two runners today.. lets hope its better than yesterday. Mahfal runs at Catterick and Royal Opera is at Leicester and is now ridden by Felix De Giles who has taken the ride from our injured Danny Cook.

27 December 2011

A bad day at the office...Amtired ran out at the last hurdle and crashed through the rails. Luckily he came home ok but poor Danny Cook landed heavily on his knee and has broken it in 3 places. He will have an operation tomorrow... we wish him a speedy recovery. Fearghal Davies took over his ride on Artisan.. but he stood no chance of staying in the saddle when was badly hampered... both ok.

26 December 2011

It is a busy day today with 9 runners. Dane Cottage and Dontpaytheferryman go to Market Rasen. Dizzy River, Neptune Equester, Simonside, Bocciani, Bring Sweets and Ananda Kanda will keep us on our toes at Wetherby and Kingswinford is at Wolverhampton.

26 December 2011

Delighted with Simonside who showed a great attitude whilst making all to win. Ananda Kanda was 2nd, probably beaten by one better on the day. Dane Cottage, Bocciani and Dizzy River were 3rd. Dontpaytheferryman was disappointing and unseated when well beaten. Neptune Equester ran well but really needs 4 miles and Kingswinford was claimed after finishing 5th.
