Barry McHugh rode us two winners today at Southwell. Dunaskin was the first for Koo's Racing Club and Pendragon won the last. Nakoma finished second again denying us a treble but it was a very good day anyhow.

John Forbes and Keith Mercer teamed up again to make it two out of two over fences in 2010, winning today at Musselburgh. Ultimate finished 2nd in the juvenille, but was beaten by a very good horse and Dontpaytheferryman gave a very good performance to finish 3rd in a £30,000 handicap.

After a fantastic January with 7 winners,February got off to a good start having 2 winners at Southwell.Both ridden by Barry McHugh, My Mate Mal won the seller for Koo's Racing Club and Castle Myth won an hour later for owners Lockett's Legends.

John Forbes wins over fences at Catterick. Ridden by Keith Mercer he was two lengths down as he jumped the last but he battled on well and got up to win by one and a half lengths.

We welcome in 2010 by winning the first race of the year in England. Mehendi won the opening race at Southwell for Koo's Racing Club . Credit must go to jockey Declan Cannon who had to work very hard to get there.
William Carson also deserves praise for his win on Camerooney in the last race for owner Jean Stapleton. A double on the 1st day of the year.. let's hope the year can continue how it started.

Tilt wins his first race over hurdles giving us all a great buzz as he has been very quirky of late on the flat, refusing to start on two occasions. Ridden by Keith Mercer he enjoyed himself in front and won by 4 lengths. Credit must also go to Andy Robertson who rides him at home and has great patience with him. more...

It was nearly a perfect day! Paul Hannigan was outstanding to win on K'gari for my extremley happy wife, Claire and also Chris Lowther who part owns him with her.
The moment of glory continued for another half an hour when Tom Eaves won on Castle Myth for owners Lockett's Legends . We were going for the hat trick with Camerooney in the last race but he didn't quite make it and finished third. It was a good run from a bad draw. All in all it was a good day at the office!

We end what has been a fantastic ten days with another winner, thanks to Graham Lee who gave Strikemaster a brilliant ride to win at Cartmel. Following on from the success with our double on Thursday, Dunaskin won in a photo finish under a fantastic ride by Graham Lee for Koo's Racing Club. Andrea and Chis Mallinson were the winning owners in the second leg of our double today when Lorraine won the ladies amateur race at Redcar on Daaweitza.

It was an excellent day for us at Ayr when Lance Betts rode us two winners. John Forbes, who had finished second only three days ago, was the first, winning by 1 1/4 lengths and Keisha Kayleigh completed the double winning the feature race on the card. My Mate Mal finished third in the race for the same owners, Koo's Racing Club.

The Northumberland Plate was not run to suit Carte Diamond or Tilt but despite this Tilt still managed to finish sixth and was not beaten all that far.

Strikemaster had his first run for us, over hurdles at Market Rasen finishing second.
At Newcastle, Keisha Kayleigh after her win yesterday ran again, this time in handicap company. She ran very well and finished third.
York Key Bar improved from his last run and finished third in the 5f handicap but it was in the 1m 3f handicap that we got the most excitement. Rosko who was given the most perfect ride by Tom Eaves, beat My Mate Mal by 3/4 length giving us the forecast in the race. more...

After being beaten in a photo finish on only his second start, Koo And The Gang goes one better to win at Southwell under Tom Eaves for Koo's Racing Club. We were back in the winners enclosure after the next race when Lorraine won the amateur riders race on Aureate. The day finished in the best possible way when Restless Genius and Tom Eaves gave us another win making it a treble on the day.

The New Year is in and most of the horses back in full training. The yard is bursting with enthusiasm and excitement. We are delighted with the progress the 2yr olds are making and Brian is confident that he has some very special horses amongst them. With a good string of older handicappers and this years newcomers we are looking forward to the start of the 2009 Flat season. Bring it on!
